A Canadian born musician, composer, producer, Graeme Drum grew up learning piano and percussion. He became exposed to Egyptian percussion in late 2011 and was mentored by the great Egyptian percussion master Hossam Ramzy. Graeme studied in England with Hossam in 2014. Graeme’s Egyptian percussion playing, production skills, deft arrangements, and songwriting abilities have landed him in the spotlight in North America and the UK, garnering critical acclaim from outlets such as One World Music Radio and Arc Music Productions Int. Ltd. His music is available World-wide.
Graeme started his career crafting his first album Eclectic (2018) using music styles, musicians and instrumentation from around the world. The Eclectic album was nominated for World Music Producer in the 17th annual Independent Music Awards in NYC. One of his singles Sand Storm (2019) was nominated for World Beat Song at the 17th annual Independent Music Awards and Sand Storm won the World Beat VOX/POP award. Graeme received a Silver Medal (Outstanding Achievement) for the Eclectic Album in the Global Music Awards. Sand Storm (2019) hit #1 on the One World Music Radio TOP 40 singles chart in the UK. Since then, he’s gone on to release a new album Eclectic X (2019). The Eclectic X album is nominated by 7th annual One World Music Radio Awards for Best World Album. Walking is nominated by 7th Annual One World Music Radio Awards for Best Single of the Year. Eclectic X (2019) is Nominated for World Beat Album and World Producer at the 18th annual Independent Music Awards in NYC. Graeme Drum and Tri Nguyen are nominated for World Beat Song (Walking 2019) at the 18th Annual Independent Music Awards in NYC.
